Comments: Wow! The complete "Live At Leeds" performance on an unedited soundboard! Unfortunately, the "crackling" noises present in the original "Leeds" range from very severe to non existent, depending on the track. Also, the "Tommy" portion needs to be speed adjusted (+ ~2.5%) and in some sections, balance corrected (one channel gets louder than the other). Sadly, once corrected, the "Tommy" portion on this CD set sounds better than the one on the officially released, "Live At Leeds Deluxe" (which suffers from overuse of noise reduction, which kills the quality in the sound).

Comments: This is a great LP. It contains the best source for the "That Motherland Feeling/Rael" demo, however, the pitch needs to be adjusted to right in between 33 & 45 RPM. The "Disguises" and "Don't Look Away" demos are first quality as well. The other demos range from good to poor. Nothing all that special about the Who studio tracks, since all/most of them have been issued/improved via the remixed/remastered program. The 3 "Live At Leeds" tracks were very good for their time, but obsolete since the 1995 official "Leeds" reissue.

Comments: This is somewhat of an odd 2 CD set. Disc 1 is a bunch of soundboard recordings that are listed as Leeds, but I've only recognized a few as being from Leeds (and obviously they didn't play "Young Man Blues" 3 times at Leeds). The speed needs correcting on most/all of the tracks of disc 1. Disc 2, is a surprisingly good audience recording of Dallas, 06/19/70. Nice to have a live version of "The Seeker"...

Comments: The back cover of the CD says, "Tracks 1-12: Live recordings from the same tour as "Live At Leeds". Venues unknown. I would agree with that, except that "Substitute", "Happy Jack", "I'm A Boy" are actually poor sounding "Leeds" tracks and the track that's listed as "See Me, Feel Me/Overture" is actually part of the "Sparks" jam from the extended "My Generation" on "Leeds". The "unknown" (for the moment) tracks actually sound quite good, although as typical with many bootlegs, the left and right channels are reversed. The "Won't Get Fooled Again" and the two "false starts" that precede it don't seem to be anything different from the original mix of the studio version.

Comments: This is an interesting CD... The "Lu Lu" tracks are OK. Clean, a little off-speed, but certainly enjoyable. The demos can be found on "The Tommy Demos", but... The Who rehearsals are pretty unique - live studio "Tommy" rehearsals with excellent sound quality. My only complaint is... Where are the rest of the songs???
