The Who | 1960's "Best Of" And Compilation Albums:

At this moment in "Who History", the most significant thing about these releases is that several of them contain true stereo "A Quick One" tracks, that have not been released on CD (see details under "A Quick One").

The 1968 Decca USA release of the LP "Magic Bus" contains the best sounding true stereo version of the title track, "Magic Bus". Subsequent CD reissues of the same used inferior tapes, causing the backing vocals on the song to become "shrill" sounding. This album is also noteworthy for having the 2nd mix version of "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde".

An interesting variation is the Australian "Best Of", which features tracks from "Ready Steady Who"!

Other than that, there are a lot of nice "pretty" album covers - my favorite being the Japanese, "Exciting The Who".
